Everything you need to know about limousines and limousine services

What is considered a limousine?

limousine (or limo)is a luxury sedan or car generally driven by a chauffeur and with a partition between the driver and the passenger compartment. Limousines also sometimes have a lengthened wheelbase, called Stretch-Limousines.

In some countries a limousine is defined as any car licensed to transport passengers in return for payment, typically more luxurious than a taxi and not fitted with a taximeter.

What is considered a limousine service?

In Australia, "limousine service" (also known as a "car service" or "transport service") generally describes the process of pre-booked hire of any car with a driver. The car is usually a luxury car, but not necessarily a limousine.
